Our Therapies

We offer a range of therapeutic approaches to help children and young people explore their feelings, build confidence and develop positive relationships, here are just some of the therapeutic approaches we offer:

Speech and Language Therapy

Our Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT) team supports your child to communicate, connect and take part in everyday life.

  • SaLT is about communication in all its forms, not just speech.
    We support children to express themselves in whatever way works for them, including gestures, signs, symbols or communication devices. Every child has a voice, even if they don’t use words.

  • Our teams work closely together, providing joined-up support that see the whole child, not just one area of need.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy supports students to bridge the gap between what they can do and what they need to do in everyday life. Our team support students of all ages and recognise that occupational demands change throughout the lifespan. ​

​Within school settings, therapy focuses on developing core fine motor, gross motor, sensory, and visual perceptual skills essential for participation in daily activities. ​

At College level, support is tailored to help students develop the skills needed for a successful transition into adulthood. ​

All of our Occupational Therapists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).

Our facilities include dedicated spaces for a wide range of therapies including Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT), Music Therapy, Art Therapy and more, all designed to support individual needs and promote development.

Our Centres
The Woodrow Therapy Centre
A dedicated therapeutic space providing integrated creative, speech and language, and occupational therapies to support the emotional, social and developmental well‑being of students in a holistic school environment.
The SaLT & OT Centre
A space that offers specialized speech and language therapy (SALT) and occupational therapy (OT) services, supporting students’ communication, sensory, and motor development in a nurturing and structured environment.
The Health and Wellbeing Hub
A welcoming space where our nursing team provides everyday medical care, support and reassurance for students and staff. The team includes nurses, occupational health and healthcare assistants who work closely with children, young people and staff to support a wide range of health needs, helping everyone to feel safe, well cared for, and ready to learn and work with confidence.
